Most of the things on this list won’t really be novel to most, but I figure I’d add them here anyway:
Calendar for TV-CAT
This is a site where you can create a calendar of your TV shows by simply selecting the shows that you want and it lists them in a calendar where you can check them out every week. What makes this site special is that they have a selection of 296 shows which are automatically listed and you can select yours by adding them to your calendar and choosing the information you want visible (show time, network where it's airing, title of the show, plot summary, etc…). The other big selling point is that you can add this entire calendar with every show that you add to your google calendar or any calendar which accepts iCal or a URL and voila. You can then access it from your smart phones or other calendar clients that you have, share it with others, etc… It also updates automatically.
CouchSurfing.org
This is a pretty neat site where you can join a network of people who are "part of an international community of travelers who recognize similarities and appreciate differences in all peoples." It really is a site where you can join freely and link up with others and as you travel, you can meet with locals and possibly sleep on their couches for a night or two; the latter being the major selling point. Great way to reduce your traveling cost, but most importantly to do what I can being a traveler and not a tourist. Enjoy!
